Water

Rafting, kayaking , canyoning or hydrospeeding? Whichever sort of sport you choose to conquer the water you are guaranteed a spectacular experience! The different rivers in the area offer a wide range of possibilities!

  • Canyoning (12 months per year): descend with a climbing harness and a wet suit in one of over 100 canyons (gorges) in the Pyrenees and the Sierra de Guara (the canyoning mecca of Europe one hour drive from our house). Each group has up to eight participants with a guide. Half or full days are possible and all equipment and safety instructions are provided. In the winter season it is only possible to use dry canyons.
  • Kayaking (April-October): discover the spectacular waters of the Rio Esera including the Rio Cinco and Rio Ara. Whether you take an organized trip, or a course or make your own way, detailed maps with different routes are available. If you would rather take a more relaxed approach you could perhaps kayak on lake Graus (Lake Barasona).
  • Hydrospeed (April-October): also called white-water sledging. You go down the fast flowing rivers with your bodyboard, a thick wetsuit and flippers. Groups consist of up to eight people accompanied by a guide.
  • Rafting (April-October) down a wild river with a big rubber boat. The Rio Esera is grade III / IV, the Rio Ara IV / V (the latter is only possible in May / June). Groups consist of up to eight participants accompanied by a guide. Trips can be half or full days and all equipment and safety instructions are provided.
