“After a stunning drive from Reus (just below Barcelona), we arrived on Sunday at Perarrua in a small village in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Hosts Jochum and Judith were already waiting for us and invited us to join them out on the terrace to enjoying a glass of Cava with the other guests. Afterwards they gave us a tour of the house and we could choose beds in the bedrooms which were still free. When we had settled in we explored the surroundings and took a short walk to El Mon, the church above Perarrua.
In the evening we discussed our weekly program at length and this started straight away the next morning. A trip by kayak taking three hours near Campo with a number of spectacular rapids. In the afternoon we had lunch on the river and then we went to look around Graus and enjoy sitting on one of the terraces there. That night we had our fair share of the huge paella dish that was waiting for us.
