What is whitewater sledging?

It is also called 'hydrospeed' or 'riverboarding'. With a bodyboard, a thick wetsuit and flippers, you'll descend a rapidly flowing river. You navigate along rocks and through rapids.

Whitewater sledging in the Pyrenees

is with a group of up to eight participants. After an extensive safety instruction from the guide, you'll enter into the Ésera River. The instructor goes first and leads the group in a kayak.

Depending on the course and the strength of the current, tours take 1,5 to 3 hours.

Ready for the challenge?

Whitewater sledging is challenging. A good physical condition is therefore important. The minimum age is 14 years. Especially in the thaw months of April, May and June you have to be fully prepared, because the river is stronger with more meltwater.

And did you know, that it's important to move mostly with your thighs? Otherwise, you might get cramps.
