In between all the outdoor activities it wouldn't be a bad idea to also relax for a day. Recharge your batteries in therapeutic baths with water from the mountains.

Relaxing in the spa of Vilas del TurbĂłn

Near PerarrĂșa lies a huge mountain massif, with the highest point the peak of TurbĂłn (2492 meters). At the foot of this massif, at almost 1500 meters altitude, you can find the spa of Vilas de TurbĂłn. Since 1934 this spa uses the spring water that comes from the interior of this mountain.

You can enjoy the therapeutic quality of the spring water in various ways. The spa offers a facilities such as aqua-therapy, steam baths, rain showers, active swimming pools or foot baths. You can also opt for special treatments like massages, facials or multi-day programs.

Floating in the salt baths of Naval

These are natural pools with salt water. The salt concentration is so high that you will float 'on top of' the water, just like in the Dead Sea.

In the past, the salt extraction was only for production purposes. Salt was extracted by letting the water flow into shallow tanks. The water evaporated, leaving the salt. A few years ago, five baths were built in which you can float in a special way.

The salt has a cleansing and disinfecting effect for your skin. It can sting quite a bit if you have a wound somewhere. The salt extracts a lot of moisture from your body (about three liters per hour!), so you can't stay in the water for too long. 20 minutes is recommended. Then you can take a shower, lay down and enjoy a large glass of water or a 'tinto de verano' (a super tasty summer wine;)).

There is also a children's pool with 'normal' water. The salt baths are open from mid-June to mid-September.
