What is snowshoeing?

Snowshoeing is a winter activity suitable for all ages. Unlike cross-country skiing and alpine skiing, which require practice to master, snowshoes are easy to learn and use from the very start.

A snowshoe is a specially designed accessory that attaches to your hiking boots, allowing you to walk more easily on snow. By distributing your weight over a larger surface area, they prevent you from sinking and allow you to "float" on the snow.

Available in various sizes for both children and adults, snowshoeing doesn't require prior experience and offer an accessible and fun way to enjoy the winter mountain landscape.

A winter adventure far from the crowds

Unlike the large crowds at ski resorts, snowshoeing allows you to enjoy the winter nature in peace and tranquility. Instead of descending slopes, you will explore snow-covered forests and remote valleys, accompanied by a local mountain guide.

You can choose between a one-day excursion in the valley or a multi-day adventure, spending the night in a mountain refuge.

One-day excursion through the heart of the Pyrenees

Would you like to take on a winter hike? Then we definitely recommend a snowshoe excursion in the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park or the Ordesa & Monte Perdido National Park.

These protected natural areas, located in the heart of the Spanish Pyrenees, are home to the highest peaks of the Pyrenees. Here you can also witness some of Spain's last glaciers, including those of Aneto and Monte Perdido.

Winter special: two-day snowshoe trek

For real enthusiasts, we offer a multi-day snowshoe hike through the wonderful Posets-Maladeta Natural Park. During this two-day trek you will trek through pristine snow landscapes and spend the night in the mountain hut at the foot of the highest mountain in the Pyrenees: the Aneto (3,404 meters).

Together with your guide, you'll reach altitudes of up to 2,300 meters and experience a memorable winter adventure.

Een kleine relaxte camping, met hele aardige eigenaren Jochem en Judith, de barman Mathijs en de kok Bo. Een heerlijke sfeer in een prachtige omgeving. Mooie uitvalsbasis voor o.a raften, wildwaterkanoën enz. Mooi en schoon sanitair.
Wij komen zeker terug.

Una experiencia fantástica. Éramos un grupo de 15 personas y nos atendieron con una amabilidad increíble. Tanto el chico como la chica que nos sirvieron fueron encantadores. El menú estaba riquísimo, el espacio es de 10 y, para rematar, nos recomendaron un lugar de baño en el río que fue espectacular. Sin duda, cuando volvamos a la zona repetiremos.

Heel fijn om in dit restaurant te eten. In tegenstelling tot veel Spaanse restaurants, heb ik op deze plek, als vegetarisch/ vegan georiënteerde bezoeker ook veel te kiezen. Heerlijk! Een plek waar duurzaamheid, gezelligheid en kwaliteit mooi samen komen. Super aanrader.
