Recognised wine region

Since 1984, the region has the DO status (Denominación de Origen) and covers 4,700 hectares of vineyards. The Somontano grows no fewer than 15 different grape varieties. Eight red and seven white.

The region is situated between 350 and 750 meters above sea level. It has good climatic conditions for growing grapes: great contrasts in temperature (cold winters and warm summers) and balance between rain, sun, humidity and temperature.

More and more wines from this region also appear in national and international liquor stores and on wine lists in restaurants.

Wine at Chill-Outdoor

At our restaurant we serve various wines of the Somontano region. The house wines come from Bodegas Sers, Viñas del Vero and Bodega Pirineos.

Bodegas Sers is a small bodega in the region with 12 hectares of vineyard. All grapes are still picked by hand.

Bodega Pirineos is the oldest winery in the Somontano region with 1000 hectares of vineyards. Together with Viñas del Vero, it is one of the largest bodegas in the region. At these wineries we can reserve you a guided tour and a wine tasting.
