Looking for a small campsite in the Spanish Pyrenees? Then you've come to the right place. Our mini-campground, with just 12 sites, is located on the outskirts of the smal village of Perarrúa.

All sites are spacious (75 m² – 105 m²) and have electricity. Four sites feature a fully furnished safari tent. On the other eight sites, you can camp with your own tent, trailer, or RV. The restrooms are new and spotless.

There’s a wonderful swimming spot in the Ésera River near the campground. Right next to the campground is our Chill-Outdoor Restaurant, where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Your holiday in Perarrúa

Perarrúa lies on the Ésera River in the foothills of the Pyrenees. During your stay in this typical Spanish country village you don't have to be bored for a moment. In the village are fantastic swimming spots and start several hiking and mountain biking tours, such as the route to the defense tower 'El Mon'.

The kids can kick a ball on the football field or play a round-the-table game on the table tennis table. There is also a padel court in the village, also for rent for guests.

Our Chill-Outdoor restaurant is also located in a central spot in the village of Perarrúa. It’s a wonderful place to relax on the spacious terrace filled with flowers and plants. Guests and locals alike can enjoy food and drinks here and socialize.

Plot

Want to camp in the foothills of the Pyrenees with your own tent, RV, or trailer? Our small, intimate campground is a wonderful place to stay. The spacious sites range in size from 75 to 105 m².

Amenities at the campsites:
✔ All sites have an electrical outlet with a standard plug
✔ Restroom facility with four showers, four toilets, and four sinks
✔ There is also a separate accessible bathroom (toilet, shower, and sink)
✔ Double outdoor sink under a canopy
✔ Coin-operated washing machine and dryer
✔ Picnic tables under shade sails
✔ Chemical toilet and a faucet for water tanks
✔ The Chill-Outdoor Restaurant with a spacious terrace is located next to the campground
✔ Fresh bread, croissants, and chocolate rolls every day during peak season

You can reserve the plots as follows:

  • In the height of summer (from mid-July to mid-August), in combination with the multi-adventure travel package.
  • For the rest of the season, you can also book the plots without a package. If you'd like to book activities, you can add them separately.
  • Starting April 1, 2027, you'll be able to book a plot even during peak season without booking a package.
  • The campground is closed during the winter (Nov–Mar)

Safari tent

The ultimate camping experience, but in a comfortably furnished tent? Our safari tents accommodate 4 to 5 people and have interior dimensions of 5 x 7 meters.

The safari tent is equipped as follows:
✔ The living area is furnished with scaffolding wood furniture
✔ The kitchenette includes: dishes, glasses, and silverware for 5 people, cutting boards, a dish brush, a tea towel and dishcloth, a refrigerator, a kettle, and a Nespresso coffee maker (please note: no stove)
✔ Two bedrooms: one with a double box-spring bed, the other with a bunk bed and an extra pull-out bed
✔ Upon arrival, the beds are made up with seasonal comforters for the number of guests booked
✔ There are 2 towels provided per person
✔ There are electrical outlets in every room
✔ The patio has a picnic table with a lounge sofa and 2 lounge chairs
✔ Guests staying in the safari tent may use all the campground's facilities

You can book the safari tents as follows:

  • In combination with various multi-adventure travel packages
  • Outside of the summer, you can also book the safari tents without a package; this is not possible during the height of summer.
  • The campground is closed during the winter (Nov–Mar)

Where is your campground located in the Spanish Pyrenees?

Our small-scale campground is located in the village of Perarrúa, in the province of Huesca (Aragón), in the foothills of the Spanish Pyrenees at an elevation of 525 meters.
The campground is situated in a lush river valley, surrounded by mountains, nature, and quaint villages.

Is there enough shade at the campground?

In the spring and fall, daytime temperatures are very pleasant and there is plenty of shade. Our mini-campground is located in a river valley, so the sun doesn’t reach the campground until around 9:00–9:30 a.m. and disappears behind the mountains again around 7:00 p.m.

In addition:

  • There are several walnut trees that provide natural shade
  • Sunnier spots are equipped with their own shade cloth in the summer
  • An evening breeze provides pleasant relief from the heat

How hot is it in the summer?

During the day in the summer, temperatures usually range between 25 and 32 degrees.
Thanks to its location in the mountains and the nearby river, it cools down pleasantly in the evening and at night.

When is the best time to visit the Spanish Pyrenees?

The best time to stay at our campground is from April through October.

Is the campground suitable for children?

Yes, our campground is perfect for children who love nature, playing outdoors, and adventure. In the summer, the campground is mainly filled with families. In the village, there are also many Spanish children who enjoy playing soccer, Werewolves, or Hunting Season.

How big is the campground?

We are a small-scale mini-campground with a limited number of 8 campsites and 5 safari tents.
This ensures peace and quiet, personalized attention, and a relaxed atmosphere.

Are there hiking trails that start right from the campground?

Yes, hiking trails start right from the campground.

You can choose from:

  • short walks (about 1 hour), such as to El Mon Castle
  • day trips through deserted villages and mountainous landscapes

Along the way, you'll come across rivers, waterfalls, and natural swimming spots (pozas).

Are there any bike trails in the area?

Yes, there are several bike routes in Huesca and the Pyrenees that start from the campground. We have GPS tracks available and would be happy to tell you more about them.

Do you rent out bikes?

Yes, we rent mountain bikes at the campground.

Can I book outdoor activities with you?

Yes, you can book outdoor activities directly with us. In the summer, we recommend combining them with our outdoor packages to ensure availability.

Can I add breakfast or dinner to my reservation?

Yes, during the summer you can add breakfast and dinner to your reservation every day.

The restaurant is open on weekends in April, May, June, September, and October.

What is the Chill-Outdoor Restaurant?

The Chill-Outdoor Restaurant is located in an old school building in the heart of the village. We’ve been running this restaurant ourselves since 2012. It serves as a gathering place for the villagers and as a restaurant for the campground.

Here you can:

  • Breakfast under the pergola
  • drinks after outdoor activities
  • dining and enjoying a leisurely after-dinner chat

Inside or on the patio, always in a relaxed atmosphere.

Is Wi-Fi available?

There is no Wi-Fi at the campground itself.
Free Wi-Fi is available at the Chill-Outdoor Restaurant, right next to the campground.

Where can I go swimming during my stay at the campground?

Less than 300 meters from the campground is a beautiful swimming spot on the Ésera River.
There are also several natural swimming spots in and around the village.

Are there any sports facilities in the village?

Yes, the following are available in the village:

  • a soccer field
  • a ping-pong table
  • a padel court (book online and pay at the Perarrúa municipal office)

Are pets allowed?

No, pets are not allowed at the campground.

Can I have a barbecue at the campground?

Due to the risk of fire, barbecuing is not permitted at the campground.
However, there is a safe barbecue area by the river within walking distance. You can reserve and pay for it online through the municipality of Perarrúa.

Can I park my car at my spot?

Our campground has limited vehicle access.

  • Loading and unloading on the premises is permitted
  • Parking is available right next to the campground
  • RV and vans may remain parked in their spots (for a fee)

There are check-in and check-out times for stays at the campground

Is the campground suitable for RVs?

Yes, RVs and vans are welcome, provided they fit within our small-scale setup.

How far is the campground from well-known places?

  • Aínsa: about 30 minutes
  • Huesca city: about 1 hour
  • Zaragoza: about 1 hour and 45 minutes
  • Barcelona: 2 hours and 30 minutes

Are there any supermarkets nearby?

Yes, there are supermarkets and bakeries in the surrounding villages within a short drive (10 minutes).

Do I need to make a reservation in advance?

Yes, because of the limited number of spots, we recommend making a reservation in advance, especially during the summer.

Is wild camping allowed in the Pyrenees?

Wild camping is not officially permitted in Spain.
Our campground is a perfect, legal, and comfortable alternative in the heart of nature.

Where can I check in?

You can check in at the reception desk in the Chill-Outdoor Restaurant, right next to the campground, or you can check in online.
