Small campsite for your camping adventure in the Pyrenees, Spain

Are you looking for a small campsite in the Pyrenees? In Perarrúa you're at the right place. On our campsite there are only 12 pitches. 4 of them feature a fully equipped safari tent. On the other 8 pitches you can set up your own tent, (camper)van or caravan.

All pitches are spacious (75 m² - 105 m²) and have their own electricity connection. The sanitary building is nearby, well cleaned and the hot water runs on solar panels.

In the village there are wonderful swimming spots on the Ésera river. Ideal for a cooling dip! Right next to the campsite you can find our Chill-Outdoor Restaurant. Here you can have a drink and try our homemade tapas.

Your holiday in Perarrúa

Perarrúa lies in the valley of the Ésera River in the foothills of the Pyrenees. During your stay in this typical Spanish village you don't have to get bored for a moment. In the village there are fantastic swimming spots. Also there start various hiking and mountain bike tracks, such as the route to the tower 'El Mon'.

Kids can play on the soccer field or have fun during a round-the-table game on the table tennis table. There is also a Padel field in the village, which can be rented for guests.

Centrally located in the village of Perarrúa is our Chill-Outdoor Café, where you can enjoy the spacious terrace full of flowers and plants. A laid-back place for locals and guests to eat, drink and meet. 

Camping pitch

Camping in the foothills of the Pyrenees with your own tent? Our small-scale campsite is a great place to stay. The spacious pitches have a surface area of ​​75 to 105 m².

The facilities of the plots:
✔ All places have an electricity connection with a normal plug
✔ Sanitary block with three rooms. Two of them feature 2 showers, 2 toilets and 2 sinks. The third is a separate disabled bathroom with shower, toilet and sink
✔ A covered area with clotheslines and a double sink for dishes
✔ Washing machine and dryer with coin machine
✔ Chemical toilet and a tap for water tanks
✔ Chill-Outdoor Restaurant with spacious terrace, next to the campsite
✔ High season: daily service of fresh breads & croissants
✔ Picnic tables in the shade

You can book the pitches as follows:

  • In high summer, in combination with the multi-adventure travel package or without a package
  • In low season without package
  • In winter (from November to March), the campsite is closed

Safaritent

The ultimate camp feeling but in a pre-set and comfortable tent? The Safari tent can accommodate 4 to 5 people and has a lovely terrace.

The safari tent is equipped as follows:
✔ The living area is furnished with wood furniture
✔ The kitchenette includes: tableware, glasses, and cutlery for 5 people, cutting boards, dish brush, tea towel and dishcloth, fridge, electric kettle, and Nespresso coffee machine (note: no stove)
✔ Two sleeping areas: one with a double box spring bed, the other with a bunk bed and an extra pull-out bed
✔ Beds are made up on arrival with seasonal duvets according to the number of guests booked
✔ Two towels per person are provided
✔ Power outlets are available in every room
✔ The terrace features a picnic table and two lounge chairs
✔ Guests staying in the safari tent have access to all campsite facilities

You can book the safari tents as follows:

  • In combination with various multi-adventure travel packages
  • Outside the summer season, you can also book the safari tents without a package — this is not possible during high summer
  • In winter (from November to March), the campsite is closed

Where is your campsite located in the Spanish Pyrenees?
Our small-scale campsite is located in the village of Perarrúa, in the province of Huesca (Aragón), in the foothills of the Spanish Pyrenees, at an altitude of 525 metres. The campsite is situated in a green river valley, surrounded by mountains, nature and authentic villages.

Does your campsite offer enough shade?

In spring and autumn, daytime temperatures are very pleasant and there is plenty of shade.
Our small campsite is located in a river valley, which means the sun reaches the campsite around 9:00–9:30 am and disappears behind the mountains again around 7:00 pm.

In addition:

  • several walnut trees provide natural shade
  • sunnier pitches are equipped in summer with a private shade cloth
  • a pleasant evening breeze cools the valley

This makes summer camping in the Pyrenees very comfortable.

How hot does it get in summer?

During summer, daytime temperatures usually range between 25 and 32°C.
Thanks to the mountain location and the nearby river, evenings and nights cool down nicely.

What is the best time to visit the Spanish Pyrenees?

The best time to stay at our campsite is from April through October.

Is the campsite suitable for children?

Yes, our campsite is very suitable for children who love nature, outdoor play and adventure.
During summer, the campsite is mainly occupied by families. In the village there are also many Spanish children who love to play football, Werewolves or Hunted together.

How large is the campsite?

We are a small and quiet campsite with 7 pitches and 5 safari tents.
This ensures peace, personal attention and a relaxed atmosphere.

Are there hiking trails starting from the campsite?

Yes, several hiking trails start directly from the campsite.

You can choose from:

  • short walks (around 1 hour), such as a hike to El Mon Castle
  • full-day hikes through mountain landscapes and abandoned villages

Along the way you’ll encounter rivers, waterfalls and natural swimming spots (pozas).

Are there cycling routes nearby?

Yes, various cycling routes in Huesca and the Pyrenees start directly from the campsite.

Yes, we rent mountain bikes at the campsite.

Can I book outdoor activities with you?

Yes, outdoor activities can be booked directly with us.
During summer we recommend combining them with our outdoor packages, as availability can be limited.

Can I book breakfast or dinner?

Yes, during summer you can book breakfast and dinner daily.

In April, May, June, September and October, the restaurant is open on weekends.

What is the Chill-Outdoor Restaurant?
The Chill-Outdoor Restaurant is housed in a former school building in the centre of the village.

We have been running this restaurant ourselves since 2012. It serves as a meeting place for local villagers as well as the restaurant for the campsite.

Here you can:

  • enjoy breakfast under the pergola
  • have a drink after outdoor activities
  • enjoy dinner and relaxed evenings with other guests

Both indoor seating and a terrace are available.

Is Wi-Fi available?

There is no Wi-Fi on the campsite itself.
Free Wi-Fi is available in the Chill-Outdoor Restaurant, right next to the campsite.

Where can I swim during my stay?

A beautiful natural swimming spot in the river is located less than 300 metres from the campsite.
There are also several other swimming spots in and around the village.

Are there sports facilities in the village?

Yes, the village offers:

  • a football field
  • a table tennis table
  • a padel court (can be reserved online)

Are pets allowed on the campsite?

No, pets are not allowed on the campsite.

Is barbecuing allowed?

Due to fire risk, barbecuing is not allowed on the campsite.
However, there is a safe BBQ area by the river within walking distance.

Can I park my car at my pitch?

Our campsite is car-free.

  • loading and unloading on site is allowed
  • parking is available just outside the campsite
  • campervans and converted vans may remain on their pitch

Is the campsite suitable for campervans?

Yes, campervans and vans are welcome, provided they fit within our small-scale setup.

How far is the campsite from nearby towns?

  • Aínsa - approx. 30 minutes
  • Huesca (city) - approx. 1 hour
  • Zaragoza - approx. 1 hour and 45 minutes
  • Barcelona - 2 hours and 30 minutes

Are there supermarkets nearby?

Yes, supermarkets and bakeries can be found in nearby villages within a short driving distance (10 minutes).

Do I need to make a reservation?

Yes, due to the limited number of pitches we strongly recommend booking in advance, especially during summer.

Is wild camping allowed in the Pyrenees?

Wild camping is officially not permitted in Spain.
Our campsite offers a legal, comfortable and nature-based alternative in the heart of the Pyrenees.

Where can I check in?

Check-in takes place at the reception in the Chill-Outdoor Restaurant, next to the campsite or online.
