Our first real winter package in the beautiful Ésera valley is a fact and… the first trip has already been booked!
Multi-day ski touring trek
Together with our outdoor partner we have put together a spectacular multi-day ski touring trekking. During this challenging trek you will cover varied routes in the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park and the valley of Artiga de Lin. Accompanied by a professional mountain guide you reach heights of more than 3,000m, including the third highest peak of the Pyrenees ‘Pico de la Maladeta’ (3,308m).
Overnight stay in mountain huts
During this 5-day ski touring trek you will sleep in authentic mountain huts on a full board basis. A breakfast buffet with packed lunch and a three-course menu are prepared for you every day, so you can start the next trip with new energy!
Ski touring
Ski touring is the combination of alpine mountain hiking and off-piste skiing, without the use of ski lifts. It’s also called ski mountaineering (skimo). This challenging winter sport is not for everyone. Ski tourers ‘walk’ up the mountain themselves. This requires special materials, such as skis with skins and special bindings. The descent is also off the beaten track (or slopes 😉 ). Often you have the mountain landscape all to yourself.
Winter sports in the Ésera valley
The Spanish Pyrenees are not only a fantastic place for activities in the warmer seasons, they are also an outdoor paradise for winter sports enthusiasts. You can make it as adventurous as you want, skiing on the slopes, snow hiking or ski touring…
The highest peaks of the Pyrenees are situated in the Ésera valley. These high altitudes, in combination with stable weather, provide the perfect conditions for ski touring, often until late in the season.
